wk ‘no rush bestie’ m’sians ask flexi parking not to come back so fast
Nobody likes dealing with app outages, especially when it involves something important like payments.

But when the Flexi Parking app went down recently, some Malaysians had a slightly different reaction.

Instead of rushing the app to come back online, many users were basically like: no rush bestie, take your time.

Flexi Parking app is back online

Flexi Parking has shared an update on its Threads account today, saying that servicea have now resumed and available as usual.

“Our app service has now resumed and is available as usual. You may now proceed with your parking payment,” it read.

It also told users who require further assistance to contact them through the same channel, while apologising for the inconvenience caused during the service disruption.

Unfortunately for those who were secretly enjoying the downtime, it is time to pay parking again.

Cyberattack affected 64 local councils

According to NST, the service disruption came after the Flexi Parking app was crippled by a cyberattack, affecting 64 local councils nationwide.

According to Selangor Local Government and Tourism Committee chairman Datuk Ng Suee Lim, he said the outage wasn’t limited to only Selangor as the same platform is used by several local authorities across the country.

Following the disruption, motorists were unable to make parking payments through the app, which led to concerns over possible parking summonses during the downtime.

M’sians jokingly ask them to take it slow

While some users were understandably concerned about parking payments and possible summonses, the comment section under Flexi Parking’s update quickly became a very Malaysian comedy corner.

One user joked: ‘Take your time. Do it slowly. We’re not in a rush to pay for parking.’

Another wrote in jest: “Eh it’s okay. If it’s down for a long time. it’s alright.’

Another netizen took it even further, saying the app could be fixed in two months, or even the following year.

That being said, with Flexi Parking now back online, users can proceed with parking payments as usual.

So to all drivers, the short holiday is over. Flexi Parking is back, and so is your responsibility to pay for parking.
