Noel Gallagher has ruled out recording new music with Oasis following the announcement of the group’s 38-date Live 27 world tour.
Fronted by Noel and his brother Liam, the band will return to Knebworth, over 30 years on from their original shows at the Hertfordshire park, performing on September 11, 12, 18, and 19 2027, during the new tour revealed on Monday.
Oasis previously staged two celebrated concerts at the venue on August 10 and 11 1996, performing to crowds exceeding 100,000 people per evening.
Speaking to Talksport, Gallagher confirmed: "There won’t be any new music, no."
Asked subsequently whether "there won’t at all?", he simply answered "nah", before adding "I don’t know", when questioned about whether the group will carry on past their newly announced tour.
The Live 27 run includes appearances at Glasgow’s Celtic Park on May 21, 23, 25, 28 and 29, Manchester’s Etihad Stadium on June 4, 6, 8, 11, 12, 15, 18, 19, 22, 25 and 26, plus Ireland’s Slane Castle on September 4 and 5.
Overseas concerts for the Manchester outfit feature European dates in Munich, Barcelona, Amsterdam, Paris, and Rome, alongside US shows in Boston and Las Vegas.
Questioned on when the decision was taken to schedule further dates, Gallagher said: "It was after about the second Wembley show.
"Nobody really knew what was going to happen at the (time), well, you can see it on the documentary, but nobody really knew how it was going to go.
"So we did Cardiff and Manchester, and then by the time we got to Wembley, somebody said, ‘well, you know’, and it was decided we were going to do it, and it was all set in motion then."
The announcement was paired with a promotional video using Live 25 footage set to Morning Glory, in which a helicopter pilot flies over Knebworth House while stating "we’re starting our approach to Knebworth".
Standard ticket prices are capped between £71.50 and £266.60, the band said, with former Verve frontman Richard Ashcroft supporting them across every tour stop.
Oasis declared in an official statement: "Start the celebrations. After a period of reflection ‘The Most Damaging Pop Cultural Force In Recent British History’ has declared itself fit for purpose and will once again return to lift the spirits of the people.
"Come witness the fitness. It shall be a sight to behold."
Ticket registration for prospective buyers has already launched and remains open until Thursday September 17 at 4pm.
Successful applicants will be issued a non-transferable code granting access to three distinct ticket sales windows scheduled for September 25, 26 and 27.
The band clarified that no general sale or secondary public presales will operate outside this specific process.
Band representatives noted the system was devised "to ensure the purchase process is as fair and smooth as possible".
The group reunited last year for their Live 25 tour, selling out in minutes and generating an estimated revenue in excess of £293 million, according to figures reported by Forbes.
Prospective concertgoers attempting to secure 2025 passes in 2024 encountered significant difficulties, including dynamic price shifts and reselling tactics that saw tickets advertised online for over £1,000.
An investigation by the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) was opened last year into Ticketmaster’s ticketing system.
The watchdog determined that Ticketmaster failed to inform queuing buyers that standing tickets carried two price tiers, or that fees would immediately rise once lower-priced tickets were exhausted.
The CMA stated that Ticketmaster listed certain "platinum" tickets at nearly two and a half times the standard rate, without offering adequate explanation that these carried no extra perks in those venue locations.
Under new directives, Ticketmaster must inform prospective buyers 24 hours beforehand whenever tiered pricing structures are implemented, as occurred with Oasis standing passes.
Ticketmaster stated: "We welcome the CMA’s confirmation that there was no dynamic pricing, no unfair practices and that we did not breach consumer law.
"To further improve the customer experience, we’ve voluntarily committed to clearer communication about ticket prices in queues.
"This builds on our capped resale, strong bot protection and clear pricing displays and we encourage the CMA to hold the entire industry to these same standards."
Notwithstanding Ticketmaster’s response, the CMA noted it had "not made any findings about whether consumer law has been infringed".
The initial Live 25 tour opened with two dates at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium in July 2025, followed by five shows at Manchester’s Heaton Park and five at London’s Wembley Stadium, ending in South America during November.
A documentary chronicling the reunion and tour, authored by Peaky Blinders writer Steven Wright, made its debut on September 11.
The band's return followed a protracted dispute between Liam and Noel after their 2009 split – which was reportedly sparked by an altercation backstage at France’s Rock en Seine festival.
Oasis have registered eight UK number one singles and eight UK number one albums throughout their career, with tracks like Wonderwall, Don’t Look Back In Anger and Roll With It.
Supporters following England at the 2026 Fifa World Cup adopted Wonderwall as an unofficial anthem for the squad as they reached the semi-final stage, before being eliminated by Argentina.
On stage for Live 25, Liam and guitarist-vocalist Noel were joined by fellow guitarists Paul "Bonehead" Arthurs and Gem Archer, bass player Andy Bell and drummer Joey Waronker.
