
Tuaran: Sabah’s administrative leaders were reminded to set good example on spending when there is an economic crisis and high cost of living faced by the people, said United Progressive Kinabalu Organisation (Upko) President Datuk Seri Madius Wilfred Tangau.
He said this when commenting on the Bill to increase the salaries of the Chief Minister, Members of the State Legislative Assembly (Adun) and members of the state administration by up to 40 per cent which was approved by the State Assembly recently.
“If you look at the comparison between Sarawak and Sabah, it shows that the salaries of administrative leaders in Sarawak are higher.
