Nottingham Forest are seeking to add Lewis O'Brien from Huddersfield Town.
Sky Sports journalist Dharmesh Sheth reports Steve Cooper's side are in 'advanced talks' after a fee of around £10million was agreed between the two clubs.
O'Brien has been linked with a move to Leeds United since last summer but the signings of Marc Roca and Tyler Adams quashed any rumours of a return for the Championship midfielder.
O'Brien could sign for Forest in the next 48 hours.
