Nottingham Forest are closing on a deal for Troyes defender Giulian Biancone.
The Daily Mail says Biancone was due in England today for a Forest medical.
There is hope the move will be wrapped up quickly so he can travel with Forest manager Steve Cooper's squad to Spain for the start of their pre-season training camp on Sunday.
Naturally a right-back, Biancone is capable of playing anywhere across the defence and finished last season as the left centre-back in Troyes' back three.
Troyes enjoy a partnership with Manchester City, who have stepped aside to allow Biancone to move to the City Ground.
