Brice Samba has rejected a new contract offer from Premier League new-boys Nottingham Forest.
Forest management insist they did not attempt to low-ball their goalkeeper.
Samba is now in talks with Nantes about a return to France after complaining of feeling underappreciated.
A source close to the City Ground club has told the Daily Mail that the new contract offer was in fact 'very good' and worth around double his present deal which expires next summer.
Samba, a Congolese international, had spent all of his career in France with clubs such as Le Havre, Marseille and Caen before his move to Forest in 2019.
