Nutri Malt drink has no halal certification - Jakim

JAKIM announced in a Facebook post that this was in accordance with clause 6(2) of the Malaysian Halal Certification Procedure Manual (Domestic) 2022 that states: Companies producing and/or distributing halal and non-halal products including food delivery services are not qualified to apply for Malaysian halal certification.

As such, JAKIM urged all Muslims to choose products that have halal certification as it is not only halal but toyyiban, meaning pure, clean and safe as well as in accordance to the halal-related guidelines set in the country.

Consumers can check the halal status of products and food premises at the Halal Malaysia official website, the SmartHalal and Verify Halal app.
