Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola fears Oleksandr Zinchenko could be out of action until December after undergoing knee surgery.

Zinchenko suffered the injury on international duty with Ukraine and travelled to Barcelona for treatment under Dr Ramon Cugat.

The 22-year-old is believed to have had keyhole surgery, which will see him absent for next month's clash against Chelsea as well as Liverpool on November 10.

"It's not a big issue but he'll be out for five or six weeks," Guardiola said. "They did something to clean the knee, it's not a big thing. He had a contact with a knee and felt something in the bone.

"They told me that after the international break maybe Rodri will be ready again."
