MANILA, Philippines — Ernest John "EJ" Obiena seeks his 10th gold of the season at the 4th Domspringen Wesel men's pole vault at the Großer Markt in Wesel, Germany Tuesday night in Manila.
Following his 5.82m golden performance in Berlin, the Filipino pole vault ace takes on the field that includes defending champion French Robin Emig at 11:15 p.m.
Emig cleared a meet record of 5.76m last year for the gold medal.
Obiena, who's enjoying a resurgence after a tough 2025 season, is expected to shatter the meet standard as he continues his buildup for the Asian Games in Japan.
