OEAKL is an association of former students of King Edward VII School, Taiping in Perak up north Peninsula Malaysia who are currently residing, working or retired in Kuala Lumpur and Selangor. OEAKL President Lt. General Tiger Dato' Wira Haji Masood Bin Haji Zainal Abidin (Retired), has reinforced to his committee members that “Our Old Edwardian (OE) engagement strategy is rooted in one simple truth: OE collaborate with OEAKL to support our alma mater. We act as brand ambassadors, contribute to institutional growth, and form a vibrant network that benefits both current students and fellow Tigers. Building strong relationships among Tigers is pivotal for sustainable excellence and fostering long-term development with our school & the community.”

The President added, “Tigers are a refection of our school's teaching quality, culture and grooming. The success stories validate KE7 School Taiping role in producing leaders for tomorrow and instilling ethics in them. It is therefore crucial to recognize that Tigers are not just the past but are the future of KE7. Tigers may have busy lives but their connection to our school remains strong. Therefore, OEAKL needs to create meaningful engagement opportunities.”

In support, OEAKL committee member, Tiger Datin Khairiah Abdul Majid, an educationist who hosted the meeting at her residence in Putrajaya, said that “Building a structured OE engagement strategy is not optional today but it's essential. A strategic OE development and operational program strengthens our institutional bonds and drives long-term growth. By fostering meaningful connections and tapping into OE expertise and contribution, OEAKL helps to create a legacy of excellence that will benefit all stakeholders. Let's transform OEAKL networks into engines of growth and innovation for a big success."
