Though my professional journey has evolved beyond the newsroom, the mindset I developed as journalist continues to sharpen my edge every single day. Just today, I found myself applying the classic 5Ws and 1H: Who, What, Where, When, Why & How - not to break a story, but to structure an AI-driven content strategy. That foundational framework? Still my north star for clarity, depth & impact, in communication, decision-making & innovation. Journalism gave me more than just writing skills. It taught me how to ask the right questions, cut through noise, spot patterns, tell compelling stories, and above all, seek truth with integrity. Whether it's sales, strategy, product, or people, these traits are universal assets. Is these skills "transferable'? Yes, sure they are.

I am grateful with the Newswav for publishing my story titled “A stroll down memory lane as cadet journalist at newsroom of Balai Berita of the New Straits Times KL in the early 1970s” that attracted many readers to like and share their candid feedback. Norazli Noh, former journalist at RTM & Utusan Malaysia, stated “Journalist tetap journalist. Saya di ambil bekerja sebagai pemberita kadet oleh mantan pengarang, Tan Sri Zainuddin Maidin, ketika itu.”
My senior at King Edward VII School Taiping, Dato' Seri Abdul Mutalib Razak, revealed “Yes, I had my share of working at Balai Berita KL though not as a journalist but a board member & managed to pen some articles, comments etc, which I treasure and InsyaAllah will appear in my book 'The Taiping Boy”.

My colleague, Auditor of MyAeroSatu, Adi Satria Ahmad, captioned “OMG - at least ex NST Group guys still have a building to visit their Second homes. Unlike me, former Group General Manager of Advertising Utusan Group whose Second Homes have already been taken over by other business owners.”
My best friend, former Director of Sime Darby Group, Roslan Abdul Razak inserted “I was the NST Group Training & Welfare Manager from 1984 to 1988 responsible for training and development of the group. It was an interesting & exciting place to work. I matured in managing & developing people there.”
