TUARAN: A man in his 30s suffered burns in a fire that destroyed nine homes in Kampung Tembiluk, Mengkabong early this morning.
Tuaran Fire and Rescue Chief Mohammad Nor Amit said the blaze, reported at 2.41am, razed eight homes completely while one was partially damaged.
Eleven firefighters, along with a fire engine and EMRS vehicle, were deployed. The injured man received initial treatment before being taken to Tuaran Hospital.
Five vehicles, including a lorry, two motorcycles and two cars, were also destroyed. The fire was brought under control by 3.30am and fully extinguished at 6.59am. The cause and losses are still under investigation.
