
Johor Barisan Nasional (BN) chairman Datuk Onn Hafiz Ghazi arrived at Sekolah Kebangsaan Simpang Renggam at 8.05am today to cast his vote.
SIMPANG RENGGAM: Johor Barisan Nasional (BN) chairman Datuk Onn Hafiz Ghazi arrived at Sekolah Kebangsaan Simpang Renggam at 8.05am today to cast his vote in the Johor state election.
Dressed in a white baju Melayu and wearing a songkok, the caretaker Menteri Besar was greeted by supporters and members of the public upon his arrival at the polling centre.
Members of the media had been stationed at the school since 7am, while members of the public began gathering at around 7.45am.
After casting his vote, Onn Hafiz thanked members of the media covering the election in Simpang Renggam.
“Thank you to the members of the media who are here in Simpang Renggam this morning.
“From what I have seen, the atmosphere among Bangsa Johor voters today is positive, and the weather is also favourable.
“I wish all Bangsa Johor a happy voting day,” he told reporters.
Onn Hafiz is contesting the Machap state seat and is BN’s key figure in the Johor election.
About 2km away, Pakatan Harapan (PH) candidate for Puteri Wangsa, Dr Maszlee Malik, who is a native of Simpang Renggam, cast his vote at SJK (C) Tuan Poon.
