KUNAK: Kunak Assemblywoman Norazlinah Arif is trying to get the Sabah Chief Minister to intervene with Sime Darby Plantations to allow the public to have access to high value tourism spots located inside the company’s estates in the district.

She said this would be her next course of action after seeing no action taken by the company to fulfil the hopes and wishes of the community here.

“I have done everything I could from going to the company’s headquarters to bring up the matter, organised a series of meetings with them and even raised it in the State Assembly several times. Yet nothing much has happened.

“So, now I’m trying to get the Chief Minister (Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor) to intervene with the company on our behalf,” she said when attending a Fruit Fiesta event hosted by Datuk William Chiuh, a prominent figure in the district, for international sailors participating at the Sail Malaysia Rally.
