In the shadows of political discourse, a cryptic tale unfolds.
Muhyiddin Yassin, the Perikatan Nasional chairman, unveils a puzzling solution to a pressing concern plaguing Malaysians.
As the country grapples with the relentless grip of rising inflation, he takes to his farm to rear chickens, hoping to overcome the scarcity of eggs and the escalating cost of living.
Behind closed doors, a study lingers, its details concealed, leaving us to ponder its relevance.
Anyway, hearing about his chicken farm ideas makes us want to sing a folk song sang when we were children, "Old Muhyiddin has a farm...!"
Meanwhile, a speech echoes through the night, revealing Muhyiddin's revelation. The launch of the Negeri Sembilan PN election machinery becomes the stage for this enigmatic proclamation.
Yet, amidst the intrigue, the Pagoh MP acknowledges that not all Malaysians possess the means or space to embrace these chicken-raising endeavours. Well, certainly, not in a little link house in Pagoh or in a government flat in the middle of Kuala Lumpur!
Amidst his pursuits, Muhyiddin encounters the plight of traders during a visit to Taman Melawati in Kuala Lumpur.
Their complaints pierce the air, pointing to soaring prices. A cryptic exchange follows, where he questions the rising costs, only to be met with a chilling response: "only rain" falls. A lot lately. But nothing else seems to fall.
Within this unsettling exchange, the price of chicken emerges, a symbol of a bygone era.
Its cost, once a modest RM6.40 during Muhyiddin's ministerial tenure, now reaches a staggering RM10 per kilogram.
In this cryptic commentary, hidden depths abound. Muhyiddin'sendeavour to raise chickens for eggs becomes a symbol of his attempt to combat the rising costs and scarcity of essential goods.
But can such individual effort truly address the systemic issues at hand? Can one Muhyiddin Yassin bring down the price of eggs. This "eggy" solution won't solve the planned increase of price of chicken eggs in the country.
The cryptic tale invites us to contemplate the complexity of the situation and the deeper meaning behind these enigmatic words.
So, perhaps Muhyiddin will have to go back and re-work the plan in his chicken coop!
