Remember, no race can say a nation belongs to a certain race. Neither can the United States citizens say it belongs to White Americans.
Racism starts when a race claims that the nation belongs to a certain race. It is time to end Racism in this AI technology era.
As Malaysians, we are proud of our multiracial and multiculturalism. We are one of the very few countries recognised for our uniqueness as a melting pot.
It’s time the Madani government as part of its education reforms included the correction of our history textbooks to reflect our truthful history as an urgent and indispensable item in his reform agenda.
The Malaysian education system is so flawed. In November last year, PMX Anwar Ibrahim said the government will concentrate on improving the quality of education in schools nationwide starting this year.
He said the quality of education is important for Malaysia to progress as a developed nation.
Sadly, history textbooks have been rewritten on Parameswara’s Hindu origins.
The Malaysian education system weakened more when authorities allowed 80,000 students to get first-class honours to escape paying up PTPTN loans. Historian Ranjit Singh Malhi is correct in his narration of the completely Malay-centric school history textbooks since 1996.
Such teaching of history has wiped out the role and contribution of non-Malays in nation-building for the past two centuries.
Hence, contributing to “Ketuanan Melayu” (Supremacy of Malays) mindset among Malays that Malaysia belongs to them.
Now a video is circulating on the lost city of Kota Gilangi. It is an ancient archaeological site located in the dense tropical jungle of Johor.
Watch this video.
Here is the transcript:
It is believed Kota Gilangi was the first capital of the ancient empire of Surivaya and one of the oldest kingdoms in Southeast Asia, dating back to around 650-900 AD.
The site was brought to the public's attention in 2005 by Rene Sheros, an independent researcher with an academic background in political science, anthropology and art history.
He identified unusual patterns of vegetation in the alleged site of the ancient city and used a remote-sensing satellite image taken by the Malaysian Centre for remote sensing – makers – to reveal possible structures.
The site is believed to be the unidentified temple shown in a thousand-year-old illustration of an unknown, a former Buddha, Dipamkara, making a gesture of reassurance and holding a fold of his robe at his shoulder in a temple in Java.
The illustration, which is yet to be verified, is believed to be from the 10th or 11th Century and is held at the Cambridge University Library.
The existence of Kota Gilangi has been indicated in Malayan folklore for over four centuries and it is believed to be the place where the great Tamil Chola dynasty ruled.
The site was reported to the public in 2005 and recent evidence of its existence and approximate location was presented as the result of a decade-long research project that involved cartographical and topographical surveys, aerial inspections, and assessments of local folklore.
The Kota Gilangi of Johor Darul Taksim should not be confused with the Kota Gilangi caves near Jerantut in Pahang Darul Makmur, which hold neolithic sites with no evidence of further substantial habitation beyond that period.
The main fort of Kota Gilangi was reportedly made of black stone and the city was raided by the Chola conqueror Rajendra Chola Durst in 1025.
Despite extensive research and media coverage, the site's significance and history remain shrouded in mystery, with political and religious imperatives potentially hindering its recognition in Malaysian history.

In the final analysis, the truth in the making and ancient history must be told truthfully.
Acceptance and tolerance are lacking in our society. Sadly, we are all not critical thinkers and accept whatever is written as the holy truth. Students must be taught the real version of history. A nation that lies will self-destroy itself and do more harm to nation-building.
It's time for history to be given importance in the making of a nation.
How the education minister and the ministry will make the change so that we are headed in the right direction. Therefore, we need to tell the truth about Malaysian history to set the record right.
