With official news coming out from MediaTek, OPPO also shared its portion, as the brand confirmed that its upcoming Find X10 Pro Max will be one of the first phones in the world to run MediaTek’s new Dimensity 9600 Pro chipset.
This TSMC 2nm N2P process-fabricated SoC is said to deliver up to 61% improvement in CPU multi-core energy efficiency compared to the previous generation, which should translate to better battery life alongside stronger sustained performance for demanding AI tasks.
On the CPU side, MediaTek stuck with its All-Big-Core approach but reworked the configuration, now pairing two 4.55GHz C2-Ultra cores with six performance cores. That setup brings a 17% overall performance boost, and independent frequency control for each core lets the chip manage workloads more precisely, helping balance raw performance against power draw.
GPU is running the new flagship G2-Ultra NX with even better ray tracing and neural graphics capabilities. Under sustained heavy use, MediaTek says the chip delivers roughly 27% higher graphics performance, which should mean richer visuals and smoother gaming on the Find X10 Pro Max even during longer sessions.
The AI side of things got a real overhaul as well, with a new dual-NPU setup pairing a high-performance NPU with a separate Super-Efficient NPU. The main NPU delivers 51% faster LLM prefill performance, useful for things like large-model inference and computational photography, while the efficiency-focused NPU is 40% more power efficient, letting always-on AI features run without draining the battery.
OPPO’s also debuting something new alongside the chip: the OPPO Laminar Flow Engine, co-developed with MediaTek. It reworks how the phone handles rendering and system scheduling together, aiming for smoother day-to-day responsiveness without sacrificing power efficiency, and OPPO says it should help with faster app launches and smoother performance during things like quickly scrolling through photos.
More details on the Find X10 Pro Max itself, including design and full specs, are expected to drop at OPPO’s upcoming global launch event.
