KOTA KINABALU: Oriental Kopi is set to open its first outlet in Sabah, marking its debut in East Malaysia with a forthcoming launch at Suria Sabah shopping mall, according to a teaser posted by the mall on Facebook.

Founded on Nanyang culinary traditions influenced by Hainanese heritage, the brand is known for in-house brewed coffee using blended Arabica, Robusta and Liberica beans, alongside familiar kopitiam fare such as egg tarts, polo buns and Malaysian comfort dishes.

The Sabah entry comes as Oriental Kopi continues to expand nationally and overseas, operating 28 outlets as of late 2025 and reporting a 41 per cent rise in FY2025 profit to RM60.8 million, driven by café growth and its packaged food business.
