Tottenham have made an approach for Paulo Dybala.
Reports broke on Wednesday that Spurs were contemplating a move for the talented Juventus forward.
The London Evening Standard says Tottenham chief Daniel Levy has made contact with Juve over a potential deal.
Spurs would have to break their transfer record for the second time this summer, with the Bianconeri demanding at least 80m.
The Argentina international would get the chance to work under compatriot Mauricio Pochettino after finding himself on the outer last season due to the arrival of Cristiano Ronaldo.
Wages would not be a problem for Spurs as Dybala currently earns 120,000-a-week, less than Harry Kane and Dele Alli.
