THE Office of the Special Assistant to the President (OSAP) has warned against individuals and groups falsely claiming to be connected with the office to solicit money or financial aid from local government units (LGUs) and the public.
In a public advisory posted online, the OSAP stressed that neither the office nor its officials and staff solicit funds, request financial assistance, or conduct official transactions through SMS or private messaging applications.
“Local government units, their executives, officials, and staff are advised to exercise extreme caution and verify any funding or project-related directives claiming to originate from the OSAP by validating them exclusively through established institutional channels,” it said.
The OSAP called on the public to report suspicious communications or solicitations falsely representing the office through osap@malacanang.gov.ph. Kristina Maralit
