We’ve gathered the choicest reactions and memes from the recent 2026 Oscars.

Another year, another Oscars. Hot on the heels of Michael B. Jordan playing twins (much to the delight of, well, everyone), Timothée Shalamaladingdong’s careless comments on ballet and opera, and Oscar Isaac creating Jacob Elordi out of dead bodies, this year’s Oscars was shaping up to be… well, like every other Oscar ceremony. Sure, Ryan Coogler’s Sinners being nominated in a bunch of categories is an achievement that shouldn’t be swept aside, but it seemed like it was just going to be another run-of-the-mill Oscars.

And for the most part, it was, though there were certainly a few shining moments. Michael B. Jordan is now officially “Academy Award winner Michael B. Jordan”. Leonardo DiCaprio blessed us with another meme. Kpop Demon Hunters’ “Golden” won Best Song. And Conan O’Brien was up to his usual antics.

The internet, of course, couldn’t resist meming and reacting. Here are some of the best memes and reactions to the 2026 Oscars.

Michael B. Jordan winning his first Oscar is arguably the highlight of the night, apart from seeing Leonardo DiCaprio with his light stick like a true K-pop stan. The actor looked genuinely shocked as he came up to receive the award. The internet couldn’t help but explode in celebration, but it also couldn’t help but gloat a little bit: Timothée Chalamet, who was nominated for the same award, evidently lost. To add salt to the wound, Marty Supreme, the movie he was in, didn’t win any of its nine nominations.

Asian representation took a win with “Golden” nabbing Best Song. However, that celebration turned sour when the orchestra tried playing off the people accepting the award. Many called the Academy out for cutting short a milestone moment for the sake of gags and ads.

Conan O’Brien brought his signature chaotic energy to the evening with a monologue that immediately poked fun at the whole Chalamet opera/ballet drama and an Epstein zinger. His quirky brand of bits was also evident throughout the whole show, along with a cameo at the end from his mentor Jim Downey.

Here are some of the best reactions and memes on the internet about the 2026 Oscars.
