Former Everton captain Leon Osman was impressed by their 3-0 win against Newcastle.
Osman felt the first goal scored by Dwight McNeil made the difference.
He later said as a pundit: "It was just a great performance that we've been waiting for.
"You asked me at half-time what I would expect or demand from Everton in the second half, it seems very simplistic to say more of the same but with converted chances but that's just how it felt and what Everton needed.
"Dwight McNeil took that opportunity when it came to him and from that moment you saw the confidence that oozed through the team. You saw the confidence that came from that."
