At 31, she had already spent 16 years with her husband. They started dating when she was only 16 and eventually built what once felt like a happy family with a daughter and a son.

According to XUAN解忧树洞, eight years ago, their daughter died after an unsuccessful surgery. She had been her husband’s whole world. Before her daughter’s funeral, he promised that he would take care of his wife and son.

After the funeral, he brought his wife to Singapore for work while their son stayed in Malaysia with her mother.

Life became difficult when his parents repeatedly fell into gambling debt. The first time, she used her own salary to help repay the money. After the debt was cleared, she begged him to stop his parents from gambling again.

But the debts returned.

Whenever creditors came looking for money, his parents would cry and make a scene. Her husband always gave in and paid for them.

Despite her poor health, she and her husband still dreamed of having another daughter. During the pandemic, she became pregnant and returned to Malaysia to rest.

At five months, doctors discovered that the baby was seriously unhealthy and had to be delivered early. The baby did not survive.

Their financial problems continued. Even when their car loan was almost fully paid, his parents encouraged them to take on another nine year loan for a new car. She could not understand why they had to start over again just when things were finally getting easier.

Then she was diagnosed with kidney failure and had to undergo regular dialysis.

For years, her husband had been caring and hardworking. He worked to pay for her treatment and even secretly returned home during Chinese New Year in 2025 to surprise her.

Then everything changed.

When her brother could not drive her to dialysis, she asked her mother in law for help three times a week. Even after agreeing to leave at 6:45 in the morning, her mother in law repeatedly overslept. When the wife complained to her husband, he accused her of insulting his mother.

After that, she stopped asking for help.

Her husband also became increasingly distant. The daily phone calls disappeared. By November, he barely cared when their son was involved in a traffic accident.

On New Year’s Day, he finally told her the truth. He said he did not want a divorce, but asked whether she could accept him having another woman.

The other woman was already pregnant.

He claimed they had been together since May and sent her an ultrasound photo.

When asked what would happen next, he simply said he hoped everyone could live peacefully.

She asked for a divorce, and he agreed immediately. He even blamed her for his affair.

Later, a clinic confirmed that the woman in the ultrasound had attended an appointment there. The contact number on the record was her husband’s.

That was when everything became real.

Even after her illness, he had once tattooed the image of their family of four on his body.

Now, he seemed ready to walk away from everything.

She is left wondering whether becoming sick, losing the ability to have sex, and being unable to have another child really gave him the right to replace her and start another family.
