From the iconic welcome to the resort to her reveal in traditional Thai garb, these are some of our favourite moments in Season 3 of The White Lotus featuring Lalisa Manobal’s Mook.
A lot of chaotic and troublesome things have been going down in the recent episodes of The White Lotus Season 3. Then again, that’s to be expected. With only two more episodes to go at the writing of this article, it’s enjoyable to witness the downward spiral of all these problematic characters.
Well, except perhaps for one character: our favourite health mentor, Mook. She’s been a ray of sunshine throughout this whole season even though she’s only made brief appearances, and her relationship with Tayme Thapthimthong’s Gaitok could be its very own romantic lakorn. With the season almost over, we reminisce about or favourite Mook moments so far—and we hope we can have a couple more in the last two episodes.

The best moments featuring Mook in The White Lotus Season 3
“Welcome to the White Lotus in Thailand ka” – Episode 1

Not only is Mook on of the first characters we meet in Season 3, she’s also the one who says the iconic line welcoming this season’s problematic guests. It’s something that Lisa was so excited about, and she even treated her fans here in Bangkok by saying it live when she was onstage at the premiere.
Awkward – Episode 1

Many people were skeptical about Lisa being cast in the show—and for good reason. This was her first acting gig, and on a hit TV show too. But this scene put those doubts to rest. Mook brings Chelsea (Aimee Lou Wood) and Rick (Walton Goggins) to their room. Rick proceeds to have a bit of a meltdown when Mook mentions Jim, the owner’s husband, has gone back to Bangkok. As a litany of profanities fills the air, Mook is visibly a little concerned but keeps up a charming demeanour. The subtleties Lisa pulls off in her expressions is pretty amazing considering this is her first major acting gig.
Lunch Break – Episode 2

Can you blame Gaitok for being smitten with Mook? Audiences knew he had a thing for the pretty health mentor but this was where he finally came clean. Mook doesn’t say yes, nor does she necessarily reject him. This was definitely the moment when we all became fully invested in the Gaimook ship.
Worrying about Gaitok – Episode 2

The infamous robbery at the resort leaves Gaitok with a bruised head and ego, both of which don’t matter at all once Mook checks up on him at the guardhouse. A look and tone of concern is enough to melt the guard’s heart (as if it hadn’t been melted already) but the kicker is that Mook lets slip that she was worried about him. The Gaimook ship sails on.
“Suay mai?” – Episode 4

Clad in traditional Thai garb, Mook visits Gaitok at the guardhouse and captivates him (again, as if he hadn’t been already). It’s a sweet scene and shows that Mook is open to being more than just friends with Gaitok much to his satisfaction. Well, that is until he leaves the gun out in the open for Timothy (Jason Isaacs) to steal. Is it Mook’s fault then that Gaitok lost the gun? We’ll just sit back and sip some tea while you debate.
And finally, a moment we thought would be bigger: Mook’s Performance – Episode 5

This moment was shown in the trailers and we were excited to see Lisa do a traditional Thai dance that would most likely make Gaitok’s heart explode. Well, it would have if he wasn’t so worried about the gun he had just lost. Unfortunately, the scene wasn’t really that big in the episode.
