MORE than 2,000 Caloocan residents availed themselves of free medical services provided by the city’s public hospitals during the celebration of the 64th Cityhood Anniversary.
Mayor Dave Gonzalo Malapitan hailed the project initiated by the City Health Department (CHD) in collaboration with the Caloocan City Medical Center (CCMC) and Caloocan City North Medical Center (CCNMC).
While the CCMC and CCNMC held their weeklong initiatives, the CHD conducted its own One-Stop Shop Community-Based Health Services at local health centers across the city, according to the mayor.
According to the CHD, various medical and health services were provided, including free X-rays and breast ultrasounds, dental and ophthalmology services, and even free electromagnetic cardiogram (ECG) and bone scans.
Malapitan reiterated his gratitude to the city hospitals and CHD for adhering to the local administration's priority on health care.
He cited the local government's continuing commitment to make medical programs even more accessible to the public, especially in remote communities and villages in the city.
Public health services, including prenatal care, youth immunization, and medical and dental consultations, remain free and accessible at the city’s community health centers, according to CHD.
