SHAH ALAM, July 8 — Approximately 43,021 Rumah Selangorku units, involving 137 projects, have been completed and the keys handed over to owners as of January 1.
State executive councillor for housing and culture Datuk Borhan Aman Shah said the Rumah Selangorku model emphasises quality to ensure all citizens in the state have access to comfortable, affordable, and liveable homes.
“The state government, via the First Selangor Plan (RS-1), does not introduce a new housing model. RS-1 focuses not only on quantity but also on quality, incorporating elements of sustainability, social inclusion, and the use of technology.

“Rumah Selangorku is also developed based on the concepts of inclusivity, community empowerment, and sustainable development, targeting specific groups,” he said.
Borhan was responding to a question from Sungai Ramal state assemblyman Mohd Shafie Ngah, who had asked about the number of affordable homes that are ready for occupancy during the State Legislative Assembly session today.
He added that the Selangor State Development Corporation (PKNS) has also completed 3,987 Rumah Selangorku units since the housing policy was introduced in 2013.
“The number of Rumah Selangorku units built by PKNS depends on existing development programmes and is subject to the conditions and approval of the Selangor Housing and Property Board (LPHS).
“PKNS’ overall target is to build 10,000 units by 2033, with the remaining 6,013 units currently in the planning stage to be developed in phases across strategic development areas such as Kota Puteri and Cyber Valley,” Borhan said.
