TWO firms are setting up new businesses in Clark, the Clark Development Corp. (CDC) said on Monday.

Donggwang Clark Corp. (DCC), the Philippine subsidiary of the SunValley Group of South Korea, is building a P1.2-billion resort for local and foreign retirees.

The project, Legacy Heights Community, sits in 4.9-hectare property that will have senior-friendly residential units integrated with health care and support services, combining independent living spaces with assisted-care options.

Amenities will include rehabilitation and wellness facilities, along with hospitality-driven services for long-term stays.

“This is a good project for senior citizens. You must always make the business relevant to your clientele,” said CDC president and CEO Agnes Devanadera, who signed on March 30 a supplemental lease agreement with DCC president Ernesto Gorospe.

The resort will create employment opportunities and contribute to the continued expansion of Clark’s tourism and services sector, such as the growing retirement and wellness market, CDC said.

First motorsports hotel in PH

The second firm, Kilton Motor Corp. (KMC), will build the country’s first motorsports hotel in Clark.

Devanadera and KMC president Johnny Tan signed a supplemental lease agreement also on March 30. The amount of Kilton‘s investment was not disclosed.

Kilton, a top supplier of diesel generators and industrial equipment in the Philippines, operates the Clark International Speedway (CIS) — a 4.189-km (2.603-mile), 18-turn circuit in Mabalacat, Pampanga designed for car, motorcycle, and drag racing.

“This will strengthen the Freeport’s reputation as a premier destination for tourism, lifestyle, and motorsports,” CDC said.

The boutique hotel will complement the operations of CIS, combining upscale accommodations with professional motorsports education, high-end car encounters, and automotive craftsmanship.

“This will fuse world-class hospitality with the thrill of motorsports,” Tan said.

KMC will employ residents of Barangay Macapagal Village, the hotel‘s location.
