SOME 335 micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) sold P129.68 million worth of products at the 2026 Bagong Pilipinas National Trade Fair held recently at SM Megamall, the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) said on Thursday.
The five-day event expanded market access, strengthened buyer linkages, and showcased high-quality, locally made products aligned with the Bagong Pilipinas and Tatak Pinoy strategies.
It drew 15,103 visitors and “marked a strong start [in our] yearly trade calendar,” DTI noted.
The sales include direct cash purchases, booked orders, and ongoing business deals negotiated at the event, which featured furniture, textiles, fashion items, handicrafts made from coconut-based materials, engineered bamboo, natural fibers, plant-based dyes, and native grasses sourced from regions across the country.
Aside from retail booths, the fair helped advance local brands through practical workshops on digital tools, shipping for exports, and eco-friendly production.
These sessions, along with “Show & Tell” product demos and fashion showcases, enabled entrepreneurs to get direct feedback from the public and improve their products for a more competitive market.
In 2025, DTI-organized trade fairs posted over P666 million in sales for 1,774 MSMEs nationwide.
Collectively, the fairs attracted more than 190,000 buyers and visitors.
