Adrian is adamant he can compete with Alisson as Liverpool's No1.
Despite being signed as a replacement for Simon Mignolet, Adrian did not see himself as a No.2 when he arrived at Liverpool.
"I came here to fight for the spot and to push Ali, have a great and healthy competition that is always improving us," he explained.
"I knew that he did really well last season, I saw he was one of the most important players on the pitch and also with his national team as they won the Copa America.
"I knew it was a big challenge for me but it is no problem, I was fighting for the spot as I am doing now.
"After his injury I have to play quickly but I have been at West Ham for the last six years so I was waiting for my opportunity to show Adrian is at a good level and can help the team."
Adrian also told the Liverpool Echo: "I think we are two good keepers fighting for the same spot and then the manager's decision will come and one of us will have to play and the other will support from the bench and the team as well."
