MANILA, Philippines — The Department of Justice (DOJ) issued a subpoena to Sen. Robin Padilla in connection with an obstruction of the apprehension and prosecution of criminal offenders complaint.
The DOJ directed Padilla to submit his counter-affidavit and supporting documents and appear before prosecutors on Sept. 25 and October 9, 2026.
This stemmed from Padilla’s alleged involvement in Sen. Ronald dela Rosa’s departure from the Senate compound amid efforts to enforce an International Criminal Court arrest warrant linked to the Duterte administration’s drug war.
