All flood evacuees in Pahang have returned home, allowing the final relief centres to close, though two rivers remain at dangerous levels.

KUANTAN: Pahang has fully recovered from recent flooding after all 79 evacuees from 27 families were allowed to return home.

The final three relief centres in Kuantan, Maran, and Pekan were closed on Wednesday afternoon.

The closures mark the end of the flood response that began last week, which saw over 13,000 people evacuated due to continuous heavy rain.

However, the Infobanjir website reported that as of 4.00 pm, two rivers remained above the danger level.

Sungai Pahang at Paloh Hinai, Pekan, and Sungai Keratong at Kampung Rekoh, Rompin, continue to pose a flood risk.
