Pahang government invites public feedback on draft review of the State Structure Plan 2040 over the next month.
KUANTAN: The Pahang government is inviting the public to submit views and proposals on the state’s future development through a public consultation on the draft review of the Pahang State Structure Plan 2040.
Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Wan Rosdy Wan Ismail said the public could channel their feedback to the Pahang Town and Country Planning Department (PLANMalaysia Pahang) or district offices for evaluation and consideration over the next month.
“If they have any views or proposals, they can submit them, and we will examine every piece of feedback received,” he said.
He told reporters this after launching the Publicity and Public Participation Programme for the draft review and officiating at the presentation of indicative plans to the Pahang Village Development and Security Committee (JPKK) here today.
Commenting on the development plan, Wan Rosdy said 51 projects had been identified across the state, covering various sectors, including the Kuantan International Airport, Kuantan Port and the East Coast Rail Link (ECRL).
However, he said the list was not fixed and could be expanded to meet future needs.
“It depends on current requirements. Whenever new needs arise, we will submit applications to the Federal Government. Therefore, the process will continue and will not be limited to the 51 projects alone,” he said.
