PENAMPANG: Parti Bersatu Sabah (PBS) Premier Advisor Tan Sri Pairin Kitingan has preferred collaborating with Parti Solidariti Tanah Airku (Star) rather than pursuing a merger.
“Cooperation does not necessarily mean merger,” he told the media while officiating the PBS’ 38th Congress at the KDCA Hall, here, Sunday.
Cooperation involves working together with a shared intention, and it is crucial to avoid sabotaging one another, the PBS founder said when asked about his views on the proposed merger expressed by his brother, Star President Datuk Seri Dr Jeffrey Kitingan.
“We need to support one another. When someone is assigned a specific area, it is only natural for their friends to provide support. That is just how it works,” said Pairin.
