Kota Kinabalu: Former Chief Minister Tan Sri Harris Mohd Salleh said the claim by Tan Sri Joseph Pairin Kitingan that “Project IC” was meant to increase a certain ethnic group in Sabah through issuance of the document to illegal immigrants must be true, since it came directly from the horse’s mouth.
However, he said, Pairin should be held responsible for the former Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad introducing such intentions and objectives.
“Mahathir was threatened when PBS, then a member of Barisan Nasional, decided out of the blue to take on Barisan Nasional on the eve of the 1990 national election.
