MANILA, Philippines — Flag carrier Philippine Airlines (PAL) has broadened its FurPAL program to include all domestic routes, making pet travel more convenient than ever. As the pioneer of in-cabin pet services in the country, the flag carrier now permits passengers to fly with their small dogs by their side on any local flight.

Launched in November 2025, FurPAL was designed to create an inclusive experience for pet lovers. "With this expansion, you can now fly with your pet from Manila to Boracay for a sumer getaway, head home to Davao, or plan a food trip to Bacolod," PAL stated. "Your small dog can now stay right by your side in the cabin."

The FurPAL service is available for a flat rate of P2,500 per one-way across all domestic routes. Booking is integrated into the PAL website. Simply select your flight, add "FurPAL" on the Travel Boost page, confirm your details, and settle the payment.

To ensure a safe and stress-free journey for all passengers, PAL maintains the following guidelines:

- Only small dog breeds weighing up to 10 kilograms are permitted. Dogs must be at least eight weeks old and fully weaned.

- Each passenger may bring one pet, with a maximum limit of three dogs per flight.

- Pets must stay in a soft-sided, leak-proof carrier (max dimensions: 17" x 11" x9.5") equipped with pee pads and at least two ventilation panels. The carrier must remain under the seat in front of the passenger for the duration of the flight.

Mandatory documentation includes a health certificate, updated vaccination records, a veterinary certificate, a PAL waiver and declaration form, and a shipping permit from the Bureau of Animal Industry. Notably, pet sedation is strictly prohibited.

PAL maintains its commitment to high standards of hygiene and passenger safety. Every aircraft features hospital-grade HEPA filters that remove 99.99 percent of airborne particles, while cabins are thoroughly sanitized with eco-friendly agents before each departure to guarantee a clean, pleasant journey.
