FLAG carrier Philippine Airlines (PAL) has renewed its long-term flight hour services (FHS) agreement with Airbus to provide technical support for 63 aircrafts.
“We thank Philippine Airlines for extending its Flight Hour Services agreements across its entire Airbus fleet to cover the A350, A330 family and A320 family," Airbus Asia-Pacific President Anand Stanley said in a statement.
"This demonstrates the strength of our long-standing partnership and our shared commitment to operational excellence,” he added.
“By delivering comprehensive component support and on-site services in Manila, we are helping PAL optimize fleet performance while benefiting from predictable, long-term maintenance costs."
The extended contract covers nine A350-1000s, 11 A330s and 43 A320s and includes comprehensive component support through standard exchange, component repairs, component reliability and engineering services, as well as provision of on-site stock at PAL’s main base in Manila.
It is aimed at enhancing fleet availability, operational reliability and cost predictability.
Airbus FHS and PAL have been working together since 2018, when an initial FHS contract was signed to support the airline’s A350-900 fleet.
The partnership was expanded in 2022 to include PAL’s A320 and A330 fleets, reflecting the airline’s continued confidence in Airbus’ integrated, multi-fleet maintenance solutions.
PAL Holdings, Inc.’s share price was unchanged at P3.80 apiece on Monday.
