Crystal Palace chairman Steve Parish is finalising the appointment of new manager Oliver Glasner.

The Austrian will replace Roy Hodgson, who is set to step down.

The Sun says Parish and Glasner met at the Hilton Hotel in Greenwich, south-east London. The pair were spotted by members of the Sheffield Wednesday squad, who were also staying in the same building ahead of their Championship win against Millwall.

Hodgson was admitted to hospital on Thursday after taking ill at training. It's suggested he will be at Goodison Park on Monday for the clash with Everton.

Glasner is available after leaving Eintracht Frankfurt last year.
