Christmas in Tokyo brings its own seasonal character, with illuminated streets, festive markets and winter celebrations transforming the city towards the end of the year. At Palace Hotel Tokyo, the occasion is marked with A Tokyo Christmas, a two-night stay package that combines festive touches within the hotel with opportunities to explore the city’s seasonal attractions.
Available for stays from 1 to 26 December 2026, the package includes accommodation in a Grand Deluxe room, Executive Suite or Premier Suite, alongside daily breakfast. Guests will also find a 5.9-foot Christmas tree decorated with lights and ornaments in their room, accompanied by a bottle of Dom Pérignon Champagne, Christmas cookies and a seasonal cake prepared by the hotel’s Sweets & Deli pastry team.
The festive atmosphere extends into the hotel’s public spaces, where decorations set the scene for the season. At the centre of the grand lobby stands a 16-foot Christmas tree, providing a seasonal focal point for guests returning from the city.
Discovering Tokyo’s winter illuminations

For those keen to experience Tokyo beyond the hotel, the concierge can arrange a private chauffeur-driven tour of the city’s winter illuminations and Christmas markets. The route can be tailored to individual interests, with possible stops including Marunouchi Naka Dori, a tree-lined boulevard stretching towards Ginza, as well as the fashionable Omotesando neighbourhood and the busy streets of Shibuya.
The city’s Christmas markets offer another perspective on the season. Options include the German-style market in Roppongi, the larger Christmas market at Meiji Jingu Gaien and the festive fair at Azabudai Hills.

Back at the hotel, dining provides another reason to linger. Grand Kitchen offers an all-day menu in a setting centred around a large, see-through fireplace, alongside a wine list featuring more than 550 selections. Other dining options include contemporary French cuisine at Esterre by Alain Ducasse, Japanese kaiseki at Wadakura, teppanyaki at GO and tempura at Tatsumi.
From 19 to 25 December, selected restaurants will also serve special Christmas menus. Highlights include blue lobster, wagyu filet and foie gras Rossini at Esterre, seasonal crab dishes at Wadakura, and roast beef and scallops at Grand Kitchen.

The hotel’s Sweets & Deli completes the seasonal offering with European Christmas baking, including stollen, kouglof, berawecka and panettone. Some creations incorporate Japanese ingredients, such as yuzu and kinako in the Bohnen Stollen, while the Kouglof de Noël combines matcha dough with sweet chestnuts and a raspberry chocolate glaze.
Rates for A Tokyo Christmas start from JPY316,000, with the package available for stays between 1 and 26 December 2026.
