Kota Kinabalu: The working hours of road construction for the Pan Borneo Highway project are determined by the contractor, depending on the weather conditions and the allocation for utility agencies, said State Public Works Assistant Minister Datuk Limus Jury.
“The contractors have been given the work period for the project to be completed, so it is up to them whether they want to do the works during the day or at night,” he said during question time.
Limus was responding to a supplementary question by Nominated Assemblyman Dr Aliakbar Gulasan who asked if the Ministry has any plans to extend the construction work hours to night time as this would be more suitable as it would not interfere the traffic flow.
