
A programme was organised by the school staff and villagers to honour Mayor Suman Bahamani for her role in upgrading the government school in Pansara village from Class X to Class XII.
School Principal Pradeep Kumar, Municipal Councillor Tilak Raj, Vishal Pansara, former Sarpanch Barkha Ram, and a large number of villagers attended the event. They expressed their happiness over the school’s upgrade and thanked the Mayor for her support.
Yogesh Kumar, Member Secretary of the Haryana State Pollution Control Board, was also present at the programme. He announced that a digital library would be set up in the school using his department’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) funds.
He added that following the upgradation, the school would require additional infrastructure, classrooms and other equipment, and assured that these facilities would be provided.
During the event, Principal Pradeep Kumar highlighted Mayor Suman Bahamani’s pivotal role in elevating the school to the senior secondary level.
He further mentioned that residents of the area had long requested the school’s upgradation, and now, students from the village and surrounding areas would no longer have to travel far for education up to Class XII.
Yogesh Kumar noted that the upgrade would particularly benefit girls.
The Mayor expressed her gratitude to the villagers and school staff at the event, stating that this achievement was the result of everyone’s collective effort. She also credited the persistent efforts of the school principal, staff and villagers.
