Former AC Milan striker Jean-Pierre Papin is a fan of Lille defender Sven Botman.
The Dutchman is a confirmed target for Milan and Newcastle United.
“Botman reminds me of Stam. He is strong and powerful, values that an Italian defence needs," Papin told Sky Italia.
Papin also had a word for Milan's French pair Mike Maignan and Theo Hernandez.
"Maignan is strong and I believe that the title can give him even more," Papin claimed.
“Theo's surprised me. I knew his brother [Lucas], but he arrived quietly and now he is one of the best Milan players."
