Parents of seven-year-old suspected of abusing child

JOHOR BAHRU - A seven-year-old boy is suspected to have been abused by his parents in the Layangkasa Housing area, Pasir Gudang, on Friday night.

A recording of the incident was uploaded through two video clips, each lasting 24 seconds and 32 seconds, on the Twitter page of Cikgu Suraya at 6.02pm on Saturday.

In the 24-second video, several individuals believed to be neighbours in the housing area were shown gathering in front of a house, requesting that the young boy be removed.

The subsequent 32-second video displayed a young boy who appeared to have suffered injuries on his back, believed to be a result of abuse.

These video clips also went viral on the Layangkasa Facebook page, eliciting various reactions from netizens.

The police have announced that a media statement will be issued regarding this matter.
