
Tuaran: Parti Gagasan Rakyat Sabah (PGRS) Tamparuli Division committee was formed following a meeting at the liaison office at Tamparuli Point recently.
It is headed by Alijus @ Mohd Ali Sipil, assisted by Junaidi Tun Hamdan (Deputy Chief), Yunus @ Ganti Haji Bolo (Vice Chief), Syera Peter Gom (Women’s Chief), Valerio Milton Gumbilai (Youth Chief), Nur Farnieza Zainal (Womens Youth Chief), Jamdin Abdullah (Secretary), Cladius Ito Embagos (Treasurer) and Muammar Ghadapi @ George (Information Chief).
Another 16 committee members are Ibin Somboton, Paranting Layapan, Ramli Kabun, Marinah Anih, Josie Aloysius, Jefanus Jamin, Haji Saidin Janeh, Rusly Kopit, Ribut Ugau, Jasrin Lidam, Muliana Modutin, Ealdin Deimin, Datuk Johnny Tanggar, Robin Chin, Fadly Unup and Dayang Salbiah Sipil.
Alijus said focus would now be on streamlining memberships at the District level Voting and Branching Centre.
“The process of updating membership in 54 branches is ongoing where former Bersatu members are given priority in addition to accepting new members with the establishment of branches at each District Voting Centres here.
“I am optimistic that the target of 100 branches old or new will be reached in the next few months based on feedback from the community PGRS officially launched in early March 2023,” he said.
He urged the youth wings to take on an aggressive role in attracting the youth interests to participate by diversifying activities and programs while explaining that PGRS is the best vehicle in defending a better future as it is a purely local party that is for locals.
