PAPAR: The longstanding water woes here will be resolved once the second phase project of the Kogopon water treatment plant is partially completed in 2025.

Papar MP Datuk Armizan Mohd Ali, who is also Domestic Trade and Costs of Living Minister, said the Sabah Water Department has assured him that the project's main components, which involve building a water intake and its water treatment plant, will be completed in August 2025.

Following this, he said the district will get a sufficient total water supply of 103 million litres per day, including the upcoming 40MLD from the new plant of the Kogopon Phase 2 project.

The existing first phase of the water treatment plant supplies 40MLD, while the second phase will channel another 40MLD, bringing the total to 80MLD.
