image is not available — The process of tallying votes at the P029 Machang Official Vote Tallying Centre as of 8.50pm on Saturday.

He overtook the Barisan Nasional (BN) candidate, Datuk Ahmad Jazlan Yaakub who got 6,160 votes and the Pakatan Harapan (PH) candidate, Dr Rosli Allani Abdul Kadir who got 1,105 votes.

While the candidate of Parti Bumiputera Malaysia (Putra), Mejar (B) Muhammad Seman obtained 36 votes.

The unofficial result involved 40 channels that were counted.
