
A passenger believed to have fainted fell onto the tracks at Wangsa Maju LRT Station on the morning of Sept 22.
Rapid KL shared details of the incident in a press statement posted on its Threads account today.
Emergency system activated

According to Rapid KL, the incident took place at around 6.52am.
After the passenger fell onto the tracks, the Platform Intrusion Emergency Stop system was immediately activated.
The power supply to the tracks was also temporarily cut off as a safety measure.
This resulted in minor delays along the Kelana Jaya Line.
Passenger rescued by station staff
Rapid KL said station personnel successfully brought the passenger out of the track area.
The passenger was then taken to the emergency room to receive initial treatment.
No further information regarding the passenger’s condition was provided at the time of writing.
Passengers reminded to seek help if unwell
Following the incident, Rapid KL advised passengers who feel unwell or require assistance at stations or platforms to approach auxiliary police officers or station personnel for help.
Passengers were also reminded to remain behind the yellow line while waiting for trains as a safety precaution.
