Jeevika ranks 14th in Punjab with 97.8% marks in Class 10 board examinations.

Patiala district secured sixth position in Punjab in the district-wise merit list of the Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) Class 10 examinations, the results of which were declared on Monday.

Out of the total 17,461 students who appeared in the examinations, only 16 students from the district figured in the state merit list. Of these, two are boys and 14 are girls.

According to the official merit list released by the PSEB, Ludhiana topped the state with 38 merit positions, followed by Amritsar with 31 and Hoshiarpur with 27 students in the merit list. Sangrur secured fourth place with 19 students, while Jalandhar stood fifth with 17 merit holders.

Across Punjab, a total of 272 students made it to the merit list, including 220 girls and 52 boys, once again highlighting the dominance of girl students in the board examinations.

However, in terms of overall pass percentage, Patiala district slipped to the 18th position in the state. According to official information, a total of 17,461 students from the district appeared in the Class 10 examinations this year. Of them, 16,235 students passed while 1,226 failed, taking the district’s pass percentage to 93.70 per cent.

Among the district toppers, Prabhjot Singh, a student of Modern Nabha Public Senior Secondary School, Mehas Gate, Nabha, secured the first position in the district with 639 marks (98.31%).

Rajdeep Kaur from Government Senior Secondary School, Mashigan, secured 633 marks, while Jeevika from Sun Flower Model High School, Tripuri, scored 631 marks.

Aditya Verma from Government Senior Secondary School, Tripuri, secured 630 marks. Prabhjot Kaur from Dayanand Model High School, Samana, scored 629 marks. Harjot Kaur of MKD Government High School, Gharam, and Harshita of Young Farm Public High School, Bhadson, secured 628 marks each.

Tania from Sun Flower Model High School, Tripuri, and Sneha from Government NPH School, Patiala, secured 627 marks each.

Tiksna Sharma and Tirika, both students of PM Shri Government Model High School, Nabha, scored 626 marks each. Sakshi of Diamond Indian Public School, Schooler, and Maninderjit Kaur of Malhotra Model High School, Rajpura, also secured 626 marks.

Vanshika of Sun Flower Model High School, Tripuri, Simran Kaur of Government Girls Senior Secondary School, Manakpur, and Sakshi Verma of School of Eminence, Bhadson, secured 625 marks each.
