KOTA KINABALU: Parti Bersatu Sabah (PBS) is confident it can help maintain Gabungan Rakyat Sabah’s (GRS) strength and dominance despite the recent withdrawal of Star and SAPP from the coalition.
PBS information chief Datuk Joniston Bangkuai said the party remains unshaken by the decision, adding that PBS has endured far tougher political challenges in the past.
Speaking during a meet-the-people programme at Kampung Rungus Panansawa, the former Kiulu assemblyman said PBS’s stability and experience have kept GRS cohesive through political shifts while ensuring its policies stay people-focused and realistic.
Joniston, who is also GRS Information Chief, emphasised that the party’s enduring principles — serving with dedication and putting people first — have made PBS a steadying force within the coalition.
Earlier, Joniston also officiated the opening of a new agricultural road in Kampung Balabakan, underscoring agriculture as a key priority in Kiulu’s ongoing development plans to improve local livelihoods and infrastructure.
