KIULU: Parti Bersatu Sabah (PBS) has urged its members to stay united and not be distracted by politically motivated allegations against its leadership as the state election nears.

PBS information chief Datuk Joniston Bangkuai said during a community programme at Kampung Bambangan Lama here, on Monday, that the recent bribery claims involving acting president Datuk Seri Dr Joachim Gunsalam and deputy president Datuk Seri Jahid Jahim were clearly aimed at disrupting the party’s momentum ahead of polling day.

He said both leaders had explained the matter and that the party’s members and supporters continue to stand firmly behind the leadership and its principles of honesty, accountability, and transparency.

Joniston, who is the Kiulu assemblyman, said PBS remains focused on serving the people and upholding their trust through integrity and good governance under the Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) administration.

He added that the people will ultimately judge GRS by its performance and results, pointing to record state revenues and reserves as proof of responsible management and effective leadership.
