Kota Kinabalu: Parti Bersatu Sabah (PBS) dismissed allegations by Parti Warisan vice president Terrence Siambun of corruption among its leaders, calling them reckless, misleading and politically driven.
PBS acting president Datuk Seri Dr Joachim Gunsalam (pic) said Terrence had distorted facts and taken his remarks out of context to paint a false picture for political gain.
He explained that confirming the authenticity of a video does not equate to admitting wrongdoing and that his words had been deliberately twisted to mislead the public.
Joachim said there was no evidence of abuse of power or personal enrichment, adding that political donations to PBS were made transparently and according to party procedures.
He described Terrence’s repeated calls for Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) action as political provocation and reaffirmed PBS’s commitment to transparency, accountability and stability.
